Martha
B.Sc. PT
Martha graduated from the Industrial University of Santander, Bucaramanga, Colombia in 1993. She also has worked at the Corporacion Universitaria De Santander, Bucaramanga, Colombia as a clinical instructor.
Since moving to Vancouver from Colombia, Martha has worked with the MS Society, St. Vincent’s Hospital (geriatrics), and in clinic based private practice (orthopaedics/neurology mix). Martha joined Community Therapists in 2007, is fluent in Spanish and provides physical skills programs for clients with neurological and orthopaedic injuries in Richmond, Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, Delta and Surrey.
Steve
B.Sc. PT, B.Sc. Bio
Steve received his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Western Ontario in 1997. Since graduating, he has worked extensively in both the private and public sector, providing assessment and treatment for a number of health populations including orthopedics, amputees, geriatrics, musculoskeletal injuries and acquired brain injury/stroke.
While working in private practice for the East Van Rehabilitation Centre he served as the supervising physiotherapist and clinic manager. He also gained experience working in an insurance funded setting while practicing in a WorkSafeBC OR program. Steve has a special interest in working with clients affected by concussion and has completed advanced training in vestibular therapy. He joined Community Therapists in 2012 and provides activation (gym, pool) and home-based physiotherapy intervention for clients living in Surrey, Langley, Maple Ridge, Abbotsford and Chilliwack.
Yvonne
Dip. PT
Yvonne completed her physiotherapy training in 1988 in the Netherlands. She has worked extensively in private practice outpatient services in both Europe and Canada. Yvonne has provided numerous active rehabilitation programs for clients recovering from MVA and workplace orthopedic and soft tissue injuries.
Prior to joining CTI in 2010, Yvonne dedicated a portion of her clinic practice to working with clients affected by neurological conditions including MS, Parkinson's and Stroke. Since joining CTI, she has gained considerable expertise working with clients in their home and community environments including individuals affected by ABI, chronic pain and a wide variety of medical conditions. Yvonne provides activation (gym, pool), homecare physiotherapy, and return to work support services for clients in Surrey, White Rock and Delta.
