Joy graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1994. She joined CTI in 2006 after 10 years practicing at GF Strong where she gained extensive experience working with neurological health populations, and individuals with spinal cord injuries.
She has specialized expertise in seating, positioning, wound care and pain management. Joy works with one of our extended care facility clients providing residents with physiotherapy to optimize strength, mobility and physical activity tolerance.

Kathryn received her Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy in 2015 from Queen's University in Ontario. She previously completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2013 at Simon Fraser University and had worked as a Rehabilitation Assistant with Community Therapists.
As a rehabilitation assistant she gained experience working with clients affected by neurological and physical injuries and implemented pool, activation and home-based programs. After completing her physiotherapy training, Kathryn gained experience in the public sector working at Burnaby Hospital assessing and treating patients with a variety of conditions including orthopaedic, cardiorespiratory and general medical concerns. She's also worked in a private clinic setting providing exercise therapy, RTW services, manual therapy, taping and a full range of modalities. Kathryn provides community-based physiotherapy and RTW services for clients in Surrey, New Westminster, Burnaby, Vancouver and Delta.
Martha graduated from the Industrial University of Santander, Bucaramanga, Colombia in 1993. She also has worked at the Corporacion Universitaria De Santander, Bucaramanga, Colombia as a clinical instructor.
Since moving to Vancouver from Colombia, Martha has worked with the MS Society, St. Vincent’s Hospital (geriatrics), and in clinic based private practice (orthopaedics/neurology mix). Martha joined Community Therapists in 2007, is fluent in Spanish and provides physical skills programs for clients with neurological and orthopaedic injuries in Richmond, Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, Delta and Surrey.
Ranko completed his Master of Physical Therapy degree from the University of British Columbia in 2015. Prior to this, he gained 4 years of diverse professional experience working as a kinesiologist with Community Therapists and implemented a variety of programs working with PTs and OTs.
Ranko has also worked as a research assistant for the BC Cancer Research Centre and the Centre for Hip Health and Musculoskeletal Research at Vancouver General Hospital. Ranko is fluent in Serbian and provides activation (gym, pool) and home-based physiotherapy services for clients impacted by orthopedic, soft tissue and neurological injuries and impairments. He provides service in Vancouver, Burnaby, and North Vancouver.
B.Sc. PT, B.Sc. Bio
Steve received his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Western Ontario in 1997. Since graduating, he has worked extensively in both the private and public sector, providing assessment and treatment for a number of health populations including orthopedics, amputees, geriatrics, musculoskeletal injuries and acquired brain injury/stroke.
While working in private practice for the East Van Rehabilitation Centre he served as the supervising physiotherapist and clinic manager. He also gained experience working in an insurance funded setting while practicing in a WorkSafeBC OR program. Steve has a special interest in working with clients affected by concussion and has completed advanced training in vestibular therapy. He joined Community Therapists in 2012 and provides activation (gym, pool) and home-based physiotherapy intervention for clients living in Surrey, Langley, Maple Ridge, Abbotsford and Chilliwack.
Yvonne completed her physiotherapy training in 1988 in the Netherlands. She has worked extensively in private practice outpatient services in both Europe and Canada. Yvonne has provided numerous active rehabilitation programs for clients recovering from MVA and workplace orthopedic and soft tissue injuries.
Prior to joining CTI in 2010, Yvonne dedicated a portion of her clinic practice to working with clients affected by neurological conditions including MS, Parkinson's and Stroke. Since joining CTI, she has gained considerable expertise working with clients in their home and community environments including individuals affected by ABI, chronic pain and a wide variety of medical conditions. Yvonne provides activation (gym, pool), homecare physiotherapy, and return to work support services for clients in Surrey, White Rock and Delta.
